After weeks or months of working five days a week, I get to the point where I’d really like to find some warm weather by a pool or the beach and just park myself. I figure I’m like most everyone else in needing to keep a careful watch over the budget. Admittedly flying to exotic resorts may not be in our budgets this year. There are a few places with hot weather, hotels with pools, the beach and a few opportunities for saving a little money.

One obvious destination is Southern California. You will find mile after mile of beautiful beaches, and places to stay not far from the water. There are quite a few websites offering travel deals to fun warm-weather places like Southern California, and that includes Legoland discounts. Cancun,  Mexico is another candidate if you’re looking for even warmer weather.

If you can find some Cancun hotel deals, you’ll find that resort city to offer beautiful water, blue sky and many nice resorts. Look into staying in the Hotel Zone, along a peninsula where resorts offer beautiful beaches. One thing that is not lacking in Cancun is warm weather.

There are a bunch of other resort cities in Mexico besides Cancun. Take a look at other places such as Anguilla and Antigua. Spend some time up front doing research so you learn about the culture and background of the place, and also to make sure you can come to wise decisions during your trip. Fortunately you can accomplish a lot of study in a short period of time with a good internet connection.
